The last two things my brother Michael and I did before arriving at the hot springs—populated by new-age folks on personal retreats—was stop at McDonald’s and WalMart.
I had to buy pajamas bottoms. The only kind for sale at WalMart in Woodburn, Oregon were pajamas with logos on them. There were Coca-Cola logos and Pepsi logos and a few others. But I was leaning toward the least offensive: AC/DC pajamas. I’d put them in the basket before another caught my eye. Miller Lite. In addition to the logo, they bore this message:
I did yoga in them. I went to the dining hall for brown rice in them. I stripped naked at the hot springs out of them. And the do-right hippies were mostly silent. Except a few older women, who stopped me on the path by the cabins to tell me that they liked my nice pants.
“They’re my sexist, anorexic, drunken, corporate, made-in-China pajamas,” I told them. “I got them at WalMart.” They smiled placidly and headed off to the lithium sauna, which looked like this.
I headed for the massage yurt, where I was consulted by Angela from Portland. I told her I’m not one of those super woo-woo folks, but I’m in my element at the hippie hot-springs place and was up for whatever. Hot stones? Absolutely. Essential oils? You bet. Not big woo—little woo, little irony.
In case you feel like shopping you don’t need to go anywhere. Hordes of vendors would be marching all over Pattaya Beach all day long.
Common people in Pattaya also use songthaews for moving around. Fares are written at the back of every taxi. These vehicles continually ply the Pattaya Beach Road and Pattaya 2 Road in counter clockwise circuits.

I’ll begin this by saying most of what is on television nowadays is so awful, so so very poor, that I’m this close to getting a spontaneous shut down if I ever give one thing new a possibility. I, however, was begged by my husband to check out Cleveland Present. I begrudgingly agreed to, though I’m only a fan with the older episodes of Spouse and children Gentleman and do not enjoy American Dad. Man o man, was/am I glad I took a probability this time. I now seem forward towards display each week. It can be so funny, like older Household Person. The characters are well drawn (figuratively and literally!) and very well acted. Its difficult to pick a favorite, but each episode I’m becoming a larger and larger fan of Cleveland Jr. The vocal acting is superb and just out and out awesome. I definitely hope additional men and women take a shine to this exhibit. If it gets canceled I will cry. There may be way very considerably garbage on Tv that gets renewed season once season. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
