Pork Chop

I’m still eating the leftovers from my dinner a few nights ago. I barbecued pork chops rubbed with pepper, garlic and a bit of balsamic vinegar. Served it up with a drizzle of a beef reduction with mustard, and a side of applesauce topped with shredded mint from the garden, and potato wedges.

The garnish was a joke. They’re yummy chive blossoms, true, but I’m not such a pretentious fuckwit that I serve myself a side of flowers. A friend of Kyle’s ut them on the plate.

The highlight was that drink on the right. Hansa, who you can see being his gorgeous self here, brought it to Seattle when he returned from Peru a couple years ago, but I hadn’t touched the bottle until Sunday. It was Pisco, and it was delish.

  21. R1 – Danzig comes out punching, Buchholz kicking, neither landing much early. Just as Buchholz seems to be getting a rhythm going, Danzig lands a couple hard rights and a knee to the body, throwing Buchhol off his timing. Danzig follows with a flurry of dirty boxing uppercuts. Buchholz comes back with some well timed punches and knees of his own, swinging momentum to his favor. Just as Danzig lands a right hand, low kick combo, Buchholz comes back strong, unloading strong set of combinations that backs Danzig up. Danzig lands a hard right and drives Buchholz to the fence, landing several shots to the body.

  24. R2 – They come out striking before settling in a groove. Maia is dictating where the fight goes, landing the cleaner shots, though Miller is getting his licks in here and there. Hard straight left from Maia, and then a stiff right jab. Miller starting to show a little wear from the blows. The pace slows a bit, but Mai is showing good timing and hand speed. Miller starting to press a little more now, but having trouble finding his mark.
